About Gigi

Long Beach Half-Marathon
Were you the kid who continuously asked why?  I was not.  But as I went through college and grad school ( and now more grad school), I developed an inquisitive sense.  At first, I wanted to only learn about nutrition to be as knowledgeable about it as I could.  Soon it developed into politics, economics, social trends, and random topics.  But at the heart of it all was food and nutrition.  My passion, my career, my every day life.

What prompted this blog is my desire to share.  After all, sharing is caring.  But Facebook only allowed for limited amount of analysis and my increasing frequency of postings prompted me to expand my horizon…blogging.  To spread my wings to be curious but more importantly, to be Nutritiously Curious.

As a doctoral student in Preventive Care – Public Health and a Registered Dietitian, I enjoy sports of all nature especially running.  But before you think I am a health nut and a gym rat, I am an aspiring cook who makes no substitutes for sugar cookies.  (In fact, I enjoy “Paula Deen”-ing my baked goods!)  I enjoy eating in moderation as much as I enjoy the feeding my soul with information that empowers me.  I hope you will enjoy this journey with me as I continue to explore and mold my mind of what surrounds us.  I look forward to hearing from you, my readers.  I hope I can encourage you to be Nutritiously Curious as well and spread the facts that I have presented here whether you agree with my analysis or not. Enjoy!
